GE Transportation Openings For  Engineer / Technologist - BE, B.Tech - Bangalore

 Essential Responsibilities :   

* Perform software project lifecycle tasks like software requirement analysis, Software Design, coding, implementation and reviews.
* Own Software Design Documents based on the Software Requirements definition. When necessary, reverse-engineer software designs and requirements from legacy designs that lack SDDs.
* Perform software safety analysis, based on safety requirements from the Software Requirements definition.
* Follow the processes and standards defined in the project's Software Development Plan. http://www.allindiajobs.in
* Actively communicate with project team. Communicate project cost and schedule risks, opportunities for improvement of legacy software designs, and new software safety hazards.


 Qualifications/Requirements:    

* 1 to 5 years hands-on experience in Software development for Real Time Embedded Systems.
* BE/B.Tech Electrical/Electronics/Comp. Science from reputed Institutes with consistent record of academic performance at 60% or higher.
* Strong background with C/C++ and assembly language programming.
* Excellent Oral and Written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for process simplification and customer satisfaction
* Hands on experience on design of Safety Critical software in Rail , Automotive or Avionics domain
* Hands on experience on handling Embedded hardware debugging, Emulators, Protocol Analysers

Desired Characteristics:
* Experience in UML
* Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Programming in C++
* Experience with software configuration management tools
* Experience working in a High Maturity Software Organization
* Experience and/or knowledge with digital hardware is desired, as is the ability to read and understand
schematics
